On my front porch she…

came by excited to finally meet us. The felt fell too the seat and I hurried to keep up. I missed the roots on two watermelon plants when she took the hoe, her hands like freshly smoked buckskin like antique paper. She didn’t miss. That sprout lept into her hands.
